G8 Initiates 100MW AI Driven Floating Solar Systems in India’s Commercial Capital
Maharashtra, West India. Jun 25, 2025, G8 global leader in marine engineered floating solar systems has officially launch 200MW of solar projects with the state’s government to upgrade and stabilize the electric power grid in West India. The project will feature G8’s GPM (Green Power Manager) series advanced floating solar systems to upgrade and stabilize the power output of each HydroDam in the state utilizing its proprietary AI driven solar-hydro power technology AI-RRM*.
G8’s GPM systems are capable of upscaling the power of each HydroDam by 100MW while balancing the water level and power output of the hydro plant. The system will generate 250GWh of clean renewable energy to supplement each HydroDam while improving the aquaculture and water quality of the HydroDam. G8’s patented AI driven solar-hydro solution will be the most cost-effective way of upgrading and stabilizing the electrical grid of India.
Mr. Kevin Thakker, Head of India Business Development of G8 comments ‘’Our GPM solar solution holds immense opportunity to expand the power generated of each HydroDam while benefitting the overall fishery community and the power grid stability of India. We are now working in close cooperation with Maharashtra’s state government to incorporate world leading renewable energy technologies to enable the sustainable growth and development of the community in West India through the pilot 200MW initiative’’.
"We are pleased to partner with the State of Maharashtra to address the increasing energy demand through renewable sources and to support its renewable energy commitments. Our objective is to expedite India's transition to clean energy. This initiative represents a critical advancement toward achieving the country's energy independence and fostering a sustainable future." Comment by Mr. Kevin Thakker.
AI-RRM - Artificial Intelligence driven Ram Rate Monitoring system is G8's proprietary system to enable HydroDam to increase power output to the grid utilizing in accordance with Grid power demand, HydroDam water level and overall weather conditions with advanced monitoring system to provide greater power output and on-demand stability for HydroDam.
G8 Energy is a renewable energy technology company specializing in utility scale Floating Solar Technology with key patents to subsea stabilization and modular construction of advanced floating solar system with an engineering team and track record of over 800MW in high voltage power infrastructure experience worldwide.
